Senior Software Engineer
I make slow data fast.
Thirteen years in PHP and Laravel. I moved a 1.5-billion-row reporting workload off MySQL and took reports from 30 minutes to 3 seconds.

What I do
Analytical performance
Column stores, query rewriting, partitioning and caching — finding why something is slow and making it stop being slow.
Three companies, the same problem, measured each time: ~600×, 25%, and 50%+.
Platform & data infrastructure
Warehouse migrations, extracting shared services, multi-tenancy, and internal tooling other engineers depend on.
ClickHouse and Snowflake migrations; a Laravel connector and query translator built from scratch.
Delivery and mentoring
Shipping consistently, reviewing more than I write, and bringing junior engineers up.
Highest review load of 31 contributors. Every intern I mentored converted to full-time and stayed.
Selected work
Taking reports from 30 minutes to 3 seconds
A 1.5-billion-row clicks table had outgrown MySQL. I proposed ClickHouse, proved it with benchmarks, designed the schema and architecture, and built the connector and query-translation layer that didn't exist yet.
Measuring a team without misrepresenting it
A reporting pipeline over Jira and GitHub covering 1,000+ pull requests across eight repositories — and the caveats that keep the numbers honest.
ets.rs.ba
Website and CMS for the school I attended, serving around 900 students. I built the first version in 2013, then rewrote and redesigned it on Laravel in 2020.
banjalukanima.org
CMS for the Banjaluka International Animated Film Festival, now in its eighteenth edition. Still maintained.
Experience
About
C and Pascal at school didn't take. PHP did. I took a course at 17, was working as a developer within ten months, and left university at 20 because I wanted the real thing.
Before any of that, my final school project was a robotic arm — assembled from a kit and programmed in C to pick up cubes and put them somewhere specific.
That's still roughly what I do: take something that works badly and find out why. These days it's usually a query. Sometimes it's a motorcycle, a sawmill control panel, or a desk.
What colleagues say
Stefan RadukicCollaborator, college and professional projects“I have known Milos since high school, and his early passion for programming meant he was already working professionally by the time we collaborated on college projects. Beyond that, we have also partnered on several professional projects over the years. What truly sets him apart is his thorough and specific way of solving complex technical challenges. I highly recommend him to any organization looking for an experienced and driven engineer.”
Djordje SladakovicFormer colleague, Bay42“He is always happy to help and share his knowledge with others. His broad expertise has not only improved our productivity but has also helped everyone on the team learn and grow.”
Igor DjuricDesigner · long-time collaborator“Early in our careers Milos and I collaborated as a programmer and designer duo, creating multiple interactive websites using PHP and responsive design for local businesses. We were among the first to embrace new technologies and development approaches, which let us compete with bigger players despite not having much experience at the time. Our clients included cultural organizations, events, and small and medium businesses.”
